Understanding DNS Leak: Test and ResolutionUpdated a year ago
What is a DNS Leak Test?
A DNS leak test helps determine if your network configuration is unintentionally leaking Domain Name System (DNS) information, potentially compromising your privacy. DNS translates human-friendly domain names (like www.example.com) into IP addresses for computer communication.
Performing a DNS Leak Test
- Open the DNS leak test website and click on "Standard Test."
- Check the displayed country on the result page. If it differs from the country where your server router is located, a DNS leak may be present.
